Indonesian worker Umi Saodah, who was trapped in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, will arrive in the capital Tuesday afternoon, a Foreign Ministry official said Monday.

"Indeed, Umi Saodah will return to Indonesia tomorrow," Foreign Ministry director for protection of Indonesian citizens abroad Teguh Wardoyo told tempointeraktif.com.

Saodah is scheduled to arrive at Terminal II of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

"We have also informed the family (about her arrival),"  Wardoyo said.

According to official data, Saodah had left for Palestine eight years ago through a company called PT Andro Meda Jakarta.

Saodah, a Central Javan native, had however initially worked in Jordan as a helper before finally settling in Palestine.

The last information the ministry received about her was that she had been detained for questioning at a local police station in relation to her dispute with her employers.

She was detained not long before the Israeli military operation started on Dec. 27. (amr)
