An Indonesian domestic helper accused of spiking a nine-month-old baby's milk with bleach has been charged with administering a poison to endanger life.
The 31-year-old accused is expected to appear in Tuen Mun Court today.
It is alleged she prepared the milk and tried to feed the baby girl in her employer's flat in Tin Yiu Estate on Wednesday morning.
The baby apparently cried and refused to drink it and the mother called the police.
The child was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital for examination.
Before the incident, the maid was reportedly given a month's notice of dismissal after working for the family for just four months.
