Cianjur (ANTARA News) - An Indoesian female migrant worker who was injured in a traffic accident in Saudi Arabia one year ago has been lying in a coma in a local hospital ever since.

Bunyamin, the husband of Bibah binti Sahidin Nur, is now trying to get his wife flown back to Indonesia with the help of the Cianjur branch of the Migrant Workers Advocacy Team after other ways had failed.

He said if Bibah could be sent back to Cianjur, she could be further treated locally.
Ever since she was admitted to Al Rass hospital in Gasim, Saudi Arabia, no Indonensian acquaintance, friend or relative had visited her.

She was the only survivor in a serious car accident which killed her Saudi employer but has remained in a coma ever since.

Efforts to get Bibah returned to Indonesia through the manpower recruitment company that had sent her abroad, the Jakarta-based PT Alhijar Onndojjaya, had also failed.

The company placed Bibah in Saudi Arabia in late 2007 but only three months after she had begun working, the car accident happened, Buyamin said.

"We will seriously try to get Bibah sent home as soon as possible and also secure her worker`s rights," said Fahmi Arief, coordinator of the Cianjur branch of the Migrant Workers Advocacy Team.
