Bought this monitor a few days ago. No dead pixels. True 1080. (Although I had to download the latest drives & software for my nVidia G8400) It was replacing my viewsonic 19 inch 2ms that I had for 3 or 4 years. I mostly websurf and play games like battlefield, neverwinter. I was concerned about a 5ms monitor but haven't seen any video artifacts. I don't use my computer to play movies so I'm not concerned about it. I did put in Shrek and it looked fine. I wasn't blown away but like I said, I don't watch movies on my computer... $[...] for a 23 inch 1080 Hannspree, yeah, I'm happy with it. Only concern was the lack of dvi port. Had to buy a hdmi to dvi cable for 13 bucks from Fry's. Don't spend $50 on a hdmi cable... Haven't tried the speakers but then I already know that speakers on a monitor suck and I use external speakers or my headset.

Man has everything one could need for a LCD 1080P moniter. I even hook this up to my ps3 and xbox 360 work like a charm. Quick HDMI hookup with a video select button for easy setup. Speakers could be a little louder but you can also use your own Speaker setup, so no big deal. Worth every penny
